Austvågøya could be overshadowed by Higravstinden the huge dominating mountain on the eastern island side but it also shares superb coastal beaches, stopping for tea and dried fish (is this were the British and Norwegian cultures met?) I kicked back in the summer sunshine and marvelled at the clarity of the water which at times allowed you to see the unperturbed marine life in its natural glory.
The GSA is Dead – Long live the GSA
Been a topsy turvy month with the gearbox on my 02 R1150 GSA wearing the main bearings and damaging the gearbox case, its in Cardiff Mototrrad still with Phil working his magic and within a few weeks he will have cannibalised three gearboxes into one new refurbished one for me. In the meantime I have a new blank canvas to play with – the Bumble Bee.
Artic Mode
Its funny how a single image or smell can provoke such a strong memory response, I have been spending time organising, uploading and editing my images, poems and text ready for printing and binding and came across a few images I forgotten about from the 2013 trip – funny how easy I can be jogged back into artic mode…
Winter in Porthcurno
Bianco
I was lucky enough over the last 4 days to get a chance to see nofitstate and the new performance of Bianco, if you every get the opportunity to see these artists then take it greedly with both hands. The performance follows closely on the heels of the worldwide Tabu tour and supported by Fireproof Giant the entire experience is breathtaking – listen to the closing track “a place to start” and immerse your self in the performance.
