Arguably where it all began for many of us. In 1973 with no experience of riding a motorcycle, let alone riding one around the word and sponsored by the Sunday Times, Ted began travelling around the world on a 500cc Triumph Tiger. Ted’s journey took him four years and he travelled over 64,000 miles through 45 countries. Ted’s exploits are best known to us all via his first book “Jupiters Travels” later embellished with the second book “Riding High.”
Teds books and his long-distance riding has inspired many rider and on Sunday May 1st 2021 Ted turned 80 years young.
I was proud to be invited to join his special birthday party as one of the original Jupiter’s Travellers and wanted to share with you some special images of Ted in celebration of the birthday.
